Thanks to the over 40 alumni and family members who joined the Cornell Club of Minnesota at the Minnesota Timberwolves game on November 1st.

Dear Fellow Cornellian:

Please allow me to offer my “Big Red” greetings to all Cornellians in Minnesota!  This is another exciting year for local Cornell Alumni activities.  I encourage each of you to get involved in Cornell activities in some way.  It’s an easy and inexpensive way to stay connected to our alma mater!!

This past year featured many successful events that served diverse interests.  Events ranged in scope from learning about the bird flu with Dr. Alphonso Torres to touring various works of Public Art in St. Paul.  Alumni, students and families gathered for a fun July afternoon at Al ’59 and Lucy Levitan’s lakeside home to send off 22 entering freshmen from the greater Twin Cities.  Book lovers spent an evening each month engaged in mind-expanding discussions.   Thank you for all of your support throughout this past year

Please continue to support your local Cornell Club by sending in your membership dues. (See form inside.)  Your dues help defray the costs of printing and mailing, and support the Federation Speaker, Admissions, and summer picnic events.  Plus, your dues earn you discounts at each event through July 2008!  We have historically had a very strong club, and membership is the key driver of that.

We are always looking for new and exciting events to add to our menu each year.  If you would like to suggest an event or become an active member of the Board please contact us.  We are also looking for additional CAAAN volunteers.  Cultivating the next crop of Cornell students is a fun and easy way to volunteer on behalf of Cornell.  Also watch your Inbox for details on these events throughout the year.  Hope to CU at an event in the near future!!

Go Big Red!
